Sorry about how things look right now. Between a corrupted database, failed restore from backup, AND a software upgrade that hosed everything......we had to start fresh.

Should be getting the appearance back shortly. The old posts could take longer.

Please bear with us as we attempt to return the chaos to a normal level.

Well, we were able to get the appearance restored to the site....sort of.

You'll notice that the left sidebar is sort of barren and not nearly as informative as before. Also the bottombar is totally missing.

We'll be working on getting these items returned back to a state similar to the good ol' days here RSN. (that's Real Soon Now for you folks on Rio Linda)

Well, the database team was hoping to be able to resurrect the old posts database but the files were corrupted so bad that even the backup wouldn't restore......so it appears that it's a lost cause. Other than the Top 10 Worst Women Drivers posts, it's not a great loss since there weren't any real literary masterpieces in there.

Also, it seems we have a new visitor out there. Welcome to the base. That brings our regular readership total to a mind boggling THREE people. Yes, we know it's crazy and that it's a 300% increase over just a few months ago (suppose it would help if I would post a little more often than once every other blue moon) but what can we say.......

Onward to bigger and sillier things.

Well, got some more of the old goodies reinstalled. It looks like we'll keep things like they are for right now. At least until things pick up a little.....

Well, sorry about the absence. There have been some backside changes that have been going on over this past month and that's what has keep me out of touch here.

Be advised though, things are back to normal and myself and the rest of the Battle Staff have been called back into action and we shall be reporting more frequently forthwith.

Back again....this time the technicians from the Software and Applications Department were able to get our software updated to the most current version available.

We're glad to see that things are rapidly getting back to normal.

As Base Commander I would like the extend a hearty Happy New Year to all of you (yes, all three people out there in the Blogosphere who even know this place exists) from all of us here at the base.

As your commander, this year looks like I'll be able to issue more orders and be a little bit more informative this year. Hopefully, with this being an election year there will be PLENTY of orders or decrees to proclaim or issue.

Just informed by the Technical Staff that the software used by the base Early Warning Systems has completed the latest minor upgrade. There shouldn't be any issues noticed on this end, or so they tell me.

Stand by for more.

The folks in the Technical Department have informed me that the additional updates that they have been working on have been completed and are ready for real world use.

These updates were primarily back-side upgrades and as before there should not be any problems noticed on the front-side.
