Important Announcement

Thank you for standing by for this important message.

As Base Commander I would like the extend a hearty Happy New Year to all of you (yes, all three people out there in the Blogosphere who even know this place exists) from all of us here at the base.

As your commander, this year looks like I'll be able to issue more orders and be a little bit more informative this year. Hopefully, with this being an election year there will be PLENTY of orders or decrees to proclaim or issue.

Have fun out there people! That's an order!!!!!

Birthday wishes are in order

I had almost forgot about this birthday, but luckily the folks over at the American Thinker were gracious enough to post this reminder so that all of us will remember to properly celebrate this momentious occassion.

On Sunday, January 27, 2008, our nation celebrates an important political anniversary. Ten years ago Hillary Clinton (then the First Lady) went on television with Matt Lauer and said:

"This is the great story here for anybody willing to find and write about it and explain it is this vast right-wing conspiracy that has been conspiring against my husband since the day he announced for president."

Talk about a birthday that DESERVES the National Holiday designation!!!! Please contact your local, state, and federal congresscritter(s) and make your voice heard.

What is the VRWC? It is the heart, soul and minds of millions of muzzled Americans speaking freely after the muzzle has been removed. It is the communion of these millions across lines of religion, race, gender and age who are bound by a common notion of what the American dream really means. The VRWC, unlike the monolith of Leftism, does not march in lockstep but rather as free souls brought together by the values of truth and decency. Happy tenth birthday, fellow members of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy!

Well said. Very well said.

{clap clap clap}

{standing ovation}

They are gonna what????

So some frozen brain Demonscum has this idea that  that he wants the whole town to approve.  This one should die a quick death.

Brattleboro residents will vote at town meeting on whether President George Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney should be indicted and arrested for war crimes, perjury or obstruction of justice if they ever step foot in Vermont.

What in the name of sanity??  I knew the frozen brain part was true (the byline is out of Vermont no less), but this nutcase needs to be immediately escorted to Arkham Asylum.

Kurt Daims, 54, of Brattleboro, the organizer of the petition drive, said Friday the debate to get the issue on the ballot was a good one. Opposition to the vote focused on whether the town had any power to endorse the matter.

Uhhh, burly, bouncer-type boys in white, please detain Kurt and promptly escort him and any other nutcases spouting off like garbage to the Maximum Security Wing of Arkham.  Use of glow rods is permitted, and indeed REQUESTED.  And IF the town council should happen to approve this lunacy, they also should be handled in a non-polite manner to Arkham as well.

Daims said the most grievous crime committed by Bush and Cheney was perjury — lying to Congress and U.S. citizens about the basis of a war in Iraq.

Hey Kurt, get your information from a source other than the Lapdog Whacko Media outlet that you goobers in the Demonscum party call "reliable".  Oh not to mention, some of us reasonably intelligent, free thinking folks here in "Flyover County" would call what you're attempting T-R-E-A-S-O-N.  Which is still punishable by death.

Warm up the capacitors boys.  We're gonna get a couple of real winners here soon!!!

The article asked the town attorney to "draft indictments against President Bush and Vice President Cheney for crimes against our Constitution and publish said indictments for consideration by other authorities."

And that there buddy can be interpretted as "inciting a riot" which is also punishable under the U.S. Penal Code.  Do not pass GO, do not collect $200.  But do enjoy this nice consolation prize.  A free, eight hour session of getting your balls TASERED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The day in review

Here's a quick rundown of this busy day:

  •  Guiliani out
  •  The Breck Boy is too
  •  The Federal Reserve Board cut the Prime Interest rate by another amount that' still going to kill the economy.
  •  75% of us have got the clue...it's the economy stoopid!!!
  •  The 20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. just COULD be eligible for the tax rebate.  {You've GOT to be kidding}
  •  Hitlary's hometown rag endorses the other guy.  But Hitlary DID get the endorsement of the all-important Black Elvis voting segment.

And finally:

  •  Some Tennessee legislator want to ban the "Girls Gone Wild" TV ads.  Again.  Wait, WHAT???

OUR tax dollars hard at work

I need to prelude this post with a warning.  It is as follows:

  1. Grab a roll of duct tape and wrap you head with it.....
  2. Get a bucket to catch the BLOOD that will be, as Glenn Beck puts it, "SHOOTING FROM YOUR EYES!!"
  3. If you're on HBP (high blood pressure, or "hypertension") meds, take an extra dose and wait 30 minutes before continuing to read this article....

With those precautions out of the way, here's just ONE lovely example of our tax dollars hard at work supporting the citizens of these United States (bonus points if you correctly guess where this is going now and not after reading any further).

This op-ed is from the Tufts University Daily.  Which you be a huge clue as to where this is going as well.  If you can't, here's a clue....think Columbia University.

In 2006, Tufts' Hillel received part of a $1.6-million Department of Homeland Security (DHS) grant to promote "inter-faith and intercultural dialogue." The program's intentions are noble and its goals laudable, since it is best to resolve conflict through dialogue.

Okay, this seems innocuous enough.  But wait!!!  Read on.

But this past fall, Tufts' Interfaith Initiative, "Pathways," used its federal money to sponsor a dinner and dialogue by Edina Lekovic on "Women, Faith, and Women."

The problem is that Lekovic is a radical Islamist sympathizer who has gone so far as to defend Osama bin Laden.

ZOMG WTF!!!! Did that just say what it appears it said?????

Yes folks ONE POINT SIX MILLION TAX DOLLARS, and OUR tax dollars at that, have gone to support the al Queda terrorists.  Great job to the wonk or wonks (or wonkette(s) to be completely fair) at the Department of Homeland Security for performing a proper amount of vetting on this grant request.

Secretary Chertoff, you are hereby ordered to appear before this officer IMMEDITATELY to explain WTF your department is doing with it's budget dollars.  Also, don't dare to bill DHS for the travel arrangements....cause this one needs to come out of your own pocket Mr. Secretary.

Folks, write your congresscritters NOW and demand that you want a refund of your portion of this $1.6 Million fiasco.

DismissedTM.  But you are advised to get to work on that letter to those congresscritters.

Oh this is just **TOO** funny!

First it was the New York Post, now another formerly stalwart Band of Klintonistas member has jumped shark and "moved on" so to speak and announced it will support the other guy.

The Nation is reporting today that the moron organization MoveOn.org (we FLAT OUT refuse to link to anything associated with George Soros and Der Klintonistas) is formally backing Obum-uh.

This news is just TOOOOOO funny!!

New Poll available

The Department of Redundancy Department would like to get some data for some obscurely redundant tests they are performing (again), so they have asked to have the latest poll posted for you to cast your ballot for.

Check your mouth at the door

It seems that John McScamnesty needs to check his mouth at the door.  In this article from NewsMax, he wants us to really, really, really believe he's a true conservative.  The McShamnesty has an ad running today where the announcer says:

"If we can't trust Mitt Romney on Ronald Reagan, how can we trust him to lead America?"

If we can't trust McShamnesty to he honest about anything, how can we trust him to lead the GOP and the country???

The simple answer is.....we can't.

The dispute between McCain and Romney is important because both are vulnerable on the question of how conservative they really are.

No disputes here....neither of them are conservative enough to actually be considered as a "conservative candidate".  If you believe they are, I've got some PRIME coastal beachfront property in Idaho to sell you!  CHEAP!

Many conservatives in the GOP base don't trust McCain, and some like-minded talk show pundits insist he would destroy the party if he becomes the nominee.

Folks like Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity....not to name drop or anything.

Yes, we here at the base realize that Sen. McScamnesty was a former military person as well as a former P.O.W.  We are grateful and appreciative of his service to this country, but that being said he is just not the right person for the GOP nomination.  Need we remind you of little things like McScamnesty-Feingold, McScamnesty-Kennedy, et al ad nauseaum.

Romney bows out

Well, it looks like the only person left on the GOP ticket for conservatives to rally for has decided to call it quits.

"If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror"

Can't say that I could argue with that line of reasoning......

Romney's final pitch was to label McCain a liberal like Clinton and Obama, a charge tantamount to heresy in the GOP. He was backed by conservative media voices like Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter.

Hey Yahoo, you forgot Glenn Beck!

Okay, are conservative voters going to commit "voting suicide" or just choose "None of the Above"?

StandByTM as this story is still developing.

China wants WHAT????

Seems China wants the data from our little satellite shootdown last night.  Beijing is apparently itching to get the data from the shootdown.

Here's our interpretation of what the JCS will recommend the State Department responds with:

Suck it you Communist wankers!

But hey, I might be speaking out of turn.   NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"China is continuously following closely the possible harm caused by the U.S. action to outer space security and relevant countries," spokesman Liu Jianchao said at a regularly scheduled news conference.

"China requests the U.S. ... provide to the international community necessary information and relevant data in a timely and prompt way," Liu said.

Ummm, can you also say "Hell no" resoundingly?  We thought you could.

China's objections signal its skepticism over whether the satellite downing was truly necessary and unease over apparent U.S. mastery of a key military technology that Beijing is also pursuing. They also appear aimed at turning the tables on U.S. criticism of Beijing's own shootdown of a defunct Chinese satellite last year.

No.  China objections to the shootdown really is that we beat them to the successful proof of concept and the real-world situational proof the system works.  Do they REALLY think the world should bow to their Communist Overlords just because they're hosting the Olympics this year?

Hey Beijing, your policies on military superiority suck, your policies on treatment of your citizenry are total shiat, and.......NEENER NEENER NEENER, we beat you to the punch!!!

Better go back and re-read "The Art of War" one more time.

Oh nevermind, it won't help anyway.

Conservative Champion has passed

Conservative champion William F Buckley, Jr. passed away today.  He was 82.

Buckley certainly deserves many accolades for bringing the conservative movement from grassroots to the White House and the National Review will loose a superior asset for how true conservatism should work.

May He rest in peace.

You've been indicted

He claimed he was going to end corruption in the New York state gubmint.  He claimed he could continue that as Gubnir of New Yawrk.

Look like it's just desserts time there Eliot.  You can forget that lead role in "The Untouchables II"

Check this out, it seems Mr. Anti-Corruption has been linked to a prostitution ring.

Watch here for more news as this develops further.

UPDATE (1420 hours):  Changed the post title from "You're gonna be indicted" to "You've been indicted following this story on FOX News.

What's the D.o.T. trying to hide???

World Net Daily reports in an article from yesterday, that it's Senior Staff Writer Jerome Korsi was denied entrance to a supposedly public hearing concerning the Mexican truck issue.

WND and us both are asking, "What's the DoT trying to hide???"

In a phone call to the DOT public affairs office, the agency explained it was requiring "press credentials" for admittance, and no one without them was allowed to participate.

The news conference was only for "credentialed members of the media," spokesman Bill Moseley told WND. "There's a specific credential. He did not have a media credential."

Gosh, that sounds like the typical Inside-the-Beltway runaround if I ever saw it.  I'm also guessing that since Jerome and WND have been reporting and critisizing the Mexican truck issue since finding out about the issue months ago.  Especially considering the opinions expressed were critical of the Administration's choice to ALLOW unpassed safety inspection Mexican trucks onto US highways.  That wouldn't have ANYTHING at all to do with the case would it????

And how can a reporter obtain such a credential providing permission to attend?

"I don't know," Moseley responded.

Ahhh, the lovely "IDK excuse"..... No surprises here.

Leslie Miller, the Teamsters communications coordinator, also was dismayed WND had been prevented from hearing the DOT press conference.

"It's an absolute outrage when the executive branch of the government tries to stifle free speech by selecting who it shares information with," Miller wrote WND in an e-mail.

"What are they afraid of? Are their arguments so weak they can only allow people they consider 'friendly' into their news conferences?" she asked.

Sure seems that way doesn't it Leslie?

Time to raise a ruckus and get the DoT to explain their actions.  Somebody has got some 'splainin to do.

She did what?????

Someone please tell me that what I'm reading is true?

Cause I swear I'm suffering from a Fred Sanford-sized case of apoplexy!

Here's why.

D@mn, seeing that Breitbart is also reporting it here, it must have an ounce of truth.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton did something Wednesday night that she almost never does. She apologized.

Someone go check the thermometer downstairs in Hell cause I'm betting they're having a good case of global COOLING on the magnitude of something Minot, North Dakota would only dream of wishing on a Cannuckian.

Anyone who has followed my husband's public life or my public life know very well where we have stood and what we have stood for and who we have stood with...

Wow, there are so many different places I can go with this quote isn't just too much for one person to imagine.

{cut to the General's office}

Lt. Kira Dhaxx (the General's executive Operations officer): General, the Weather Squadron has reported that Hell has officially frozen over........completely.

SGR: Yes, ell-tee I was just looking at that alert on my screen.

Lt. Dhaxx: Your orders sir?

SGR: Put in a call and see if they want any snow cone flavors shipped in....at a 500% mark up?

Lt. Dhaxx: Yes sir, that would be the Ferengi thing to do.

SGR: I realize that Leiutenant, but this is about making sure Hitlary gets a good dose of her own medicine.  Has it been confirmed that Der Kaizer von Slickmeister was also part of the entourage?

Lt. Dhaxx: Not yet sir, but we have a satellite being diverted to get visual confirmation.

SGR:  Let me know once the first data burst has been received.

Lt. Dhaxx: Yes, sir.

{exit stage left}

If only that was a reality.....there would be one SERIOUSLY large party at the Officer's Club let me tell ya!!!

Which of course means that a retraction will be coming from the Hitlary camp any time now..
